Sell with Sea Wave
Sell your boat with a broker who runs the whole sale
A realistic price, professional presentation and worldwide exposure, handled by a Barcelona broker from the first valuation to the handover.
Four things decide how fast a boat sells
We plan every sale around them, in this order of importance.
Price
We study comparable sales and current asking prices in the Western Mediterranean, then agree a realistic figure with you. You see the expected net proceeds before anything is listed. An overpriced boat attracts few enquiries and ends up reduced anyway, so we are direct about the number.
Presentation
A professional shoot at the marina, a written description that leads with what makes your boat different, and, where it helps, a video walkthrough and a 360° tour. Buyers arrive better informed, so you host fewer, better viewings.
Promotion
Your listing goes live on our website and on the major portals, and we put it in front of buyers we already know. You get a clear account of where enquiries are coming from.
Time
Price and time to sell are linked. The first weeks bring the most attention, and we plan the launch so the boat is fully presented from day one, not improved bit by bit.
How we market your boat
Selling a boat is personal as well as financial. We present yours the way an owner would want it shown, and put it where serious buyers look.
Professional photography and video
A photographer shoots your boat at the marina, exterior and interior, in good light. Good photos decide whether a buyer opens your listing or scrolls past, so this is the first thing we organise.
- Full gallery shot on location
- Optional video walkthrough
- Optional 360° or 3D tour
Your own listing page
Every boat gets a dedicated page on seawaveyachts.com with full specifications, the gallery and the broker's direct contact. Walkthrough videos and virtual tours load only when a visitor chooses to play them, so the page stays fast on a phone.
- Complete spec sheet
- WhatsApp, phone and email in one tap
- Shareable link for your own contacts
Portals and syndication
We publish to YachtWorld and Boats.com, the marketplaces where international buyers search, and keep every listing consistent across them. You do not manage a single login.
- YachtWorld and Boats.com
- One set of figures everywhere
- Updates made once, reflected everywhere
Social media and direct outreach
New listings are shown to our followers and sent to buyers who have told us what they are looking for. We also pass them to other brokers and to our sister companies, Sea Wave Charters and Sea Wave Adventures, whose guests are often future owners.
- Instagram and WhatsApp campaigns
- Direct matches with registered buyers
- Co-operation with other brokers
From first call to handover
Six stages, one broker. You always know where the sale stands and what happens next.

Negotiation and closing
We negotiate the price, hold the deposit in a secure escrow account, and handle the contract, the transfer of registration and the handover.
A secure sale, on paper and in practice
The money and the paperwork are where sales go wrong. We take both off your hands.
Escrow
Buyer funds are held by a neutral third party and released only when the agreed conditions are met.
Documentation
Bill of sale, deregistration or flag transfer, VAT evidence and CE documentation, prepared and checked by us.
Qualified buyers
We confirm a buyer's seriousness and funds before they step aboard.
Confidentiality
Your contact details stay with us. Enquiries come to your broker, never to your phone.
You deal with the founders
Sea Wave Yachts is two brokers and one standard. The person who values your boat is the person who sells it.
Questions owners ask
How much does it cost to sell with you?
The valuation is free and carries no obligation. Our commission is agreed with you in writing before the boat is listed, so there are no surprises at closing.
How long will it take to sell?
It depends mainly on price, condition and season. A realistically priced boat that is well presented tends to receive its first offers within weeks. We give you an honest estimate at the valuation.
Where is my boat shown?
On seawaveyachts.com, on YachtWorld and Boats.com, on our social channels and to registered buyers. We also work with other brokers.
Do I need to be in Barcelona?
No. We handle viewings and sea trials for you, and signing can be done remotely. Many of our owners live abroad.
Can you sell a boat that is not berthed in Spain?
Yes, within the Western Mediterranean. Tell us where it is and we will confirm how we would handle it.
What happens with VAT?
VAT status shapes both the price and the buyer pool, so we check it first. We explain the position for your boat in the valuation.
